THE man hailed as the new Ronaldinho, Giovanni Dos Santos has said that Mexican team-mate Carlos Vela, will only be a foe on the pitch.
The emerging Spurs star insists that he is good friends with Arsenal's new striker despite the great long running rivalry between the two's new clubs.
Giovanni told FourFourTwo: ''We're only enemies on the pitch. We get on really well outside of football, and it's also good to have him in London.
''He's been busy with training though so I haven't had the chance to speak with him but I will.''
The Spurs teenager, also thinks that the pairs arrival in England can only be a good thing for Mexican football.
He added: ''It's a great thing for Mexico to have two players in one of the best leagues in the world. Also because our national team coach Sven Goran Eriksson knows so much about the English game.''
The duo are sure to meet later on this season when Arsenal take on Tottenham, when the two will put their friendship aside for bragging rights over the other.
