Ferdinand denies Hammers 'exit' speculation

10:50am Thursday 3rd July 2008

WEST Ham centre-back Anton Ferdinand has claimed that he knows nothing in regards to the transfer speculation surrounding his future at Upton Park.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a big money move to Aston Villa, Newcastle and London rivals Tottenham in recent weeks.

However, the former England U21 international says that he is unware of any reported interest shown in him.

And the defender has stated that he is fully focused on remaining at the Boleyn and helping the club push for European football next season.

"It's just speculation. Until I get back to London I don't know what is going on," Ferdinand - who is currently on a charity visit in Africa - told Sky Sports News.

"For me personally, until Alan Curbishley says I am not a West Ham player, then I will be a West Ham player. I love playing for the club."
